Royal Enfield Club - Land's End to John 'O Groats Run

July 2006

more to follow...?

First breakdown - by a pub :)

One of the Bullet's front brake cables snap, just at a give way on a hill :| Sacha and Rich manage to ride in reverse for about 20 metres somehow without crashing!

This is what happens to your leg if you ride an MZ in shorts. Actually it didn't hurt... for teh first 5 minutes. Later attended to by a nice, and well-prepared, Dutch lady.

Yes, we made it to John 'O Groats, but no we didn't camp there! After several days of being rained on, arriving to a wet camp site at dusk was just too much to consider. Sacha, easily the most respectable (in appearance) of us, managed to find the last 3 beds in the top right corner of Scotland and we had a nice warm sleep :)

Same again, but with the handsome Mr Jackson included!

Matt and the Royal Oilfield at a dodgy truck-stop somewhere. Actually the two oil patches aren't ours - really. That was to happen later.

Me and the bikes. MZ ETZ251 and Royal Enfield Crusader 250. Notice the old man jumper purchased for £1 in Aviemore when the temperature suddenly dropped. Later irreversibly shrunk to baby size by the washing machine - how was I supposed to know it was dry-clean only!
