On to Berlin, but have had enough of crap roads so take the motorway (read single carriageway). About half the roads in Poland seem to be half dug up due to new EU investment, so there are building works everywhere. Pass lots of old people sitting by the side of the road trying to sell mushrooms they've picked in the forest :( and continue with a sense of guilt on my whimsical mission across Europe. Reach Berlin and all is busy again and I'm suddenly a short arse :| Get another 6bed dorm to myself and head out for an Indian. The proprietor bizarrely complains to me about the English people in Berlin and I head off to Halford Rock Bar. A very weird but fun place themed on Judas Priest with a giant fibreglass Rob Halford outside. It's dead so I head on to Wikinger bar for a (unwashed!) horn of sickly honey beer. Revert to normal beer in clean glasses and set eyes upon a beautiful Finn - am smitten :o)
