After a delicious pink salmon steak in sauce lunch, head off for Luxembourg city. Am really tired by now and opt for autobahns the entire way. Manage to find an unrestricted and empty section and manage an indicated 145mph before hitting a gentle curve and losing my courage. The noise from the engine, fuel economy, luggage, and bits of rubber flaking off the tyre discourage me from attempting to better it - this time! Reach the hotel (4* wooh!) before Fe, and the lady on the desk suggests I'd like a shower! Less smelly emerge as Fe arrives and head for the bar. Beer for me, tea for her and then beer all round. Friendly barman feeds us free trays of pistachios as the restaurant is closed. After making a minor dent in unpacking the mountain of stuff in her car, retire to bed and free MTV.
